Norman Lock has written novels, short fiction, and poetry as well as stage, radio and screen plays. He received the 1979 Aga Kahn Prize given by The Paris Review and, most recently, the 2010 literary fiction prize from The Dactyl Foundation for his 2009 novel Shadowplay. He was awarded prose fellowships from the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Councils on the Arts, and— for 2011—a poetry fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. His latest book-length fictions are Shadowplay (Ellipsis Press), The King of Sweden (Ravenna Press), Grim Tales (Mud Luscious Press), and Pieces for Small Orchestra & Other Fictions (Spuyten Duyvil).
